A great local 10K race with a fantastic BBQ at the end. You also run in the knowledge that you are raising money for the Hereford Special Care Baby Unit, a very worthy cause.
Technically you might not want the tough climb to the hill-fort and you probably wouldn’t want the 31 degrees heat but these are minor considerations. The Gazelle finished 7th overall in a time of 50 mins and 30 secs with Addy 10th in 53 mins and 44 secs. He did win a shiny medal for being the 2nd MV50 but this paled into insignificance compared to Addy who won a trophy for being the 1st female and a second trophy for the 1st U30 female. Due to the hot weather it was nice of the organisers to hold the presentation in the social club bar so that the competitors could rehydrate!
[Ed. Runners new to this club might be under the impression that only Martin and Addy run any races…There are other active members, honest! ] 🙂
