Rob Lally (aka Llanigon Fell Race) Run 2019

The Rob Lally Run aka Llanigon Fell Race follows the same iconic format as many
Lakeland classics. It starts from a country show then goes up and down a great big hill with the majority of the route being visible from the show ground. Who would have thought that fell running could be so
spectator friendly.
The bad weather clearly deterred many runners but not the Hotfooters. The entire field, with the exception of the sweeper, was made up of club members.
Our junior members smashed it. Patrick was 1ST, setting a course record, Ned 2ND and Jo 3RD. Addy came  in 5TH and was the 1ST female. Gazelle led the “oldies” home in 4TH
place beating his time from last year and Steve will shortly be signing up for Bethan’s next navigation course after going the wrong way!
Even more glory awaited the Hotfooters in the afternoon’s games…..
Patrick – sack race champion
Ned and Jo – 3 legged champions
Gazelle – egg and spoon champion
Brian and Patrick – wheelbarrow champions
The climax of the afternoon was the obstacle race. Gazelle and Brian made it through to the final but narrowly lost out on the gold medal to Ned and Patrick.
When these events gain Olympic recognition
the Hotfooters will surely be well placed for the GB trials.
