Below is a list of proposed events to be included in the 2020 HH Championships. Your position relative to other club members in each event is recorded. Your four best positions are what count -but one event must be in Group A, one in Group B and two in Group C. It is possible to just do four relevant events to qualify, but ,the more events you do, the greater the chances of glory. In the event of overall ties, there will be a count back to positions outside the best four.

GROUP A - Cross Country League Races

Presteigne                                 2nd February       Sunday
Shobdon                                    July                      Wednesday
Croft Castle                                November            Sunday

Huntington Chase                        September            Saturday
Crickhowell Trail Race                 25th October         Sunday

The list may have to be tweaked as the year unfolds e.g there may be a XC league race on 25th October and the Trail Race may have to be replaced by the much loved  "3 laps of The Begwyns".
Finally, there will be 8 awards - top 3 Males, top 3 Females and the two age adjusted awards.

We are a small but very friendly club with a current membership of 50 and counting, we warmly welcome new members. Anyone wishing to join the club can get in touch through the contact page and arrange to have a taster session on a training night before signing up.

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing countryside and a wealth of places to run.Training nights are Thursdays 6.30 Meet at Tomatitos Tapas Bar Lion Street. (we may meet earlier if running elsewhere). Please refer to the training page for a list of runs throughout the year. Our membership encourages runners of all abilities and ages. Each session is designed to work for all levels and you will never be left to run on your own.

Socialising comes a big second to running particularly after an event. There are always well deserved pub lunches to be had after a race. Many of us take part in multi terrain, road and fell races throughout the year and enjoy the camaraderie found amongst fellow runners. If you don’t want to take part in the race come along to support us and enjoy the meal afterwards.

If you’d like to become a member click here.

As well as taking part in other Running Club ev ents we organise our own race The Magic Roundabout 10k and the weekly Hay 5k . Browse through the site and have a look at the HHF News page, regular updates and stories of Hay Hotfooter adventures!

If your club or organisation holds and event or race, send the details to us and we’ll put it in our race diary.

We are in the process of applying for the Hay Riverside (5k) Run to be an official Park Run.  For more information click here.
